Joyful Journey Alpacas began as a quiet passion — a handful of alpacas on a small Wisconsin homestead, and a deep appreciation for the extraordinary fiber they produce. What started as a personal pursuit of handcraft has grown into a dedicated fiber arts practice rooted in the rhythms of the Northwoods.
Our alpacas roam freely across our Hayward property, cared for with patience and respect. Each year's shearing is a celebration — a moment when the fruit of their gentle labor becomes something you can hold, spin, and create with. We believe that fiber with a story behind it carries a different kind of warmth.
